Yes, you can just choose the individual tiles in a group and edit the size. The way it displays will depend on the screen size/resolution. To get the best idea of what it will look like on the device set it up on a device with the same screen resolution as the production device and put the Start Screen editor in "full screen" by clicking the icon on the top right. The tiles will auto arrange based on the group's size properties. The new SiteKiosk Online solution has much more flexibility for your layouts.

It still doesn't work for me. I'll use an alternate layout. Other combinations work well, just not what I was trying to accomplish.

You can send you content folder for the start screen and a basic mock up of what you are looking for and we can take a look to see if it can be accomplished. Send that to support-america(at)sitekiosk.com. Another option would be to upgrade to SiteKiosk Online which you can easily accomplish something like this with because of the editor is much more flexible than SiteKiosk Classic.
